RYZE vs Four Sigmatic: Ingredients, Caffeine & Key Differences

RYZE Medium Roast and Four Sigmatic Original Mushroom Coffee have similar caffeine levels but different formulas. RYZE combines six mushroom species with a prebiotic fiber blend; Four Sigmatic Original combines five mushroom species with probiotics, Vitamin B12, coconut milk powder, and yacon powder. Both currently contain approximately 50 mg of caffeine per serving.

This comparison uses current official product and label information checked on October 7, 2026. It covers these two specific instant coffees, rather than each brand’s entire range, and does not claim firsthand side-by-side taste testing.

Figures below refer to each product’s labeled serving. RYZE lists 1 Tbsp / 6g; the Four Sigmatic Supplement Facts label linked by the brand also lists 1 Tbsp / 6g.

The main difference is the ingredients alongside the coffee and mushrooms, rather than the caffeine level. RYZE uses a six-mushroom Super6 blend plus acacia, inulin, and tapioca fibers. Four Sigmatic Original uses five mushrooms plus probiotics and Vitamin B12, with coconut milk and yacon powders also listed.

Both formulas include ingredients the brands describe as prebiotic: RYZE’s fiber blend and Four Sigmatic’s yacon. A different ingredient mix does not automatically make either coffee objectively better.

RYZE Medium Roast Ingredients

RYZE’s current Medium Roast label information lists organic instant coffee, Organic RYZE Super6™ Mushroom Blend, and an organic prebiotic blend. The mushroom blend names Cordyceps, Reishi, King Trumpet, Shiitake, Turkey Tail, and Lion’s Mane; the prebiotic blend names acacia, inulin, and tapioca fibers.

Four Sigmatic Original Mushroom Coffee Ingredients

The current Four Sigmatic Original product page identifies organic Arabica instant coffee and five mushrooms: Lion’s Mane, Chaga, Cordyceps, Reishi, and Turkey Tail. It also lists Vitamin B12, Bacillus subtilis DE111 probiotics, organic coconut milk powder, and organic yacon powder.

The brand’s full ingredient list and linked label identify the mushrooms as extracts. Some official materials use “yacon juice powder,” while the product page says “yacon powder”; check the bag for its exact ingredient wording.

RYZE has six listed mushroom species, while Four Sigmatic Original has five. Both list Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi, and Turkey Tail. RYZE additionally lists King Trumpet and Shiitake; Four Sigmatic additionally lists Chaga.

RYZE reports approximately 2,000 mg of total Super6 blend per serving. Four Sigmatic’s brand-linked Supplement Facts label lists a 1,500 mg organic mushroom blend, comprising five mushroom extracts. Neither cited list supplies a complete individual amount for each mushroom.

Species count is one formula characteristic. Blend weight, extract form, concentration, and individual amounts are different measurements; neither six versus five species nor 2,000 versus 1,500 mg establishes effectiveness or quality on its own.

Current RYZE Medium Roast contains approximately 50 mg of caffeine per 1 Tbsp / 6g serving. Four Sigmatic Original also lists approximately 50 mg per serving. The published caffeine levels are therefore very similar.

Neither has a lower published caffeine figure in this comparison. Other products sold by either brand may differ, so use the exact product name when comparing labels. For RYZE’s other options, see our RYZE Mushroom Coffee caffeine guide.

RYZE’s prebiotic blend contains acacia, inulin, and tapioca fibers. Four Sigmatic Original adds Bacillus subtilis DE111 probiotics and Vitamin B12; its formula also includes yacon powder, which the brand describes as a prebiotic ingredient.

Prebiotic ingredients and probiotic microorganisms are different categories. The Four Sigmatic product page reports 500 million CFU of its probiotic per serving; CFU is a count of colony-forming units, not a mushroom weight. RYZE’s current ingredient list does not name an added probiotic or added Vitamin B12.

These details describe composition. They do not show that either finished coffee delivers better digestive, immune, cognitive, or other health outcomes.

Yes. The current Four Sigmatic Original product information and brand-linked label list organic coconut milk powder. This answer applies to Original Mushroom Coffee, not all Four Sigmatic products.

Current RYZE Medium Roast does not list coconut milk powder or MCT powder. Those ingredients appear in references to the older RYZE formula. If avoiding coconut is a requirement, check the ingredient and allergen information on the specific package rather than relying on the brand name alone.

RYZE may fit if you prioritize

• Six mushroom species in the Super6 blend.
• The acacia, inulin, and tapioca prebiotic fiber blend.
• A current ingredient list without coconut milk powder or MCT powder.
• Approximately 50 mg of caffeine per serving.

Four Sigmatic Original may fit if you prioritize

• Five mushroom species in an extract blend.
• Added probiotics and Vitamin B12.
• Yacon powder alongside the mushroom ingredients.
• A coconut-containing formula, if that matches your preference.
• Approximately 50 mg of caffeine per serving.

When deciding between RYZE or Four Sigmatic, ingredient preferences provide a clearer basis than species count alone. Neither option is a universal winner from the formula list.

Older comparisons may show RYZE with around 48 mg of caffeine, coconut milk powder, or MCT powder. RYZE’s updated Medium Roast ingredient list applies from September 22, 2026: organic instant coffee, organic Super6 blend, and an organic prebiotic blend. Current label information gives approximately 50 mg of caffeine.

Four Sigmatic comparisons naming only two mushrooms may concern an older formula or a different product. Current Original Mushroom Coffee information names five mushrooms, plus probiotics and Vitamin B12. Match the formula, product name, and package version before comparing; this guide does not apply the Original formula to the brand’s ground coffees, pods, or other blends.
